Description
The Gasket Genius upper casing gasket covers Yamaha F4 / 4HP outboard engines built between 1999 and 2007. Positioned between the upper casing (driveshaft housing) and the powerhead, it keeps exhaust gases and cooling water contained and correctly routed as they move from the engine down into the lower unit. Over time, as the gasket wears, compresses or becomes damaged, this seal weakens, letting exhaust or water escape at the joint rather than following the intended path through the unit. A new gasket at this point, fitted whenever the upper casing is separated from the powerhead, brings the seal back to spec.
