Description
The Gasket Genius water canal cover gasket fits Yamaha 115 HP V4 V6 - 225 HP V4 V6 outboard engines. It seals the water canal cover against the engine block, keeping cooling water properly contained as it's routed through the internal water canal to circulate through the engine. Once this gasket becomes worn, compressed or damaged, it can no longer hold a tight seal at the cover joint, allowing water leakage from the cooling circuit. This can reduce cooling efficiency and lead to the engine running hot. Fitting a new gasket whenever the water canal cover is removed for servicing helps restore a proper seal.
