Description
The Gasket Genius reed valve seat gasket set fits Yamaha 115 HP V4 V6 - 200 HP V4 V6 outboard engines and includes 6x reed valve seat gasket. These gaskets seal the joint between each reed valve seat and the intake manifold/crankcase, keeping the incoming air-fuel mixture contained as it passes through the reed valve assembly on its way into the crank chamber. If a gasket in this set becomes worn, hardened or damaged, it can no longer seal its joint properly, allowing unmetered air to enter the intake tract. This upsets the air-fuel mixture and can lead to symptoms such as rough or unstable idle, hesitation on acceleration or difficulty starting. Replacing the set whenever the reed valve assembly is removed for servicing helps restore a proper seal.
