Description
The Gasket Genius crankcase gasket fits Stihl HS81, HS81R, HS81T, HS86 and HS86R hedge trimmers. The crankcase gasket seals the mating face between the two crankcase halves, and its integrity is essential for maintaining correct crankcase pressure in a two-stroke engine. When the gasket wears out or is damaged, air enters the crankcase at the joint, leaning out the fuel mixture and disrupting engine behaviour common symptoms include unstable idling, loss of power under load and difficulty starting. Swapping in a new gasket closes the leak and returns the hedge trimmer to proper working condition.
