Description
The Gasket Genius carburettor gasket fits Stihl FS36, FS40 and FS44 strimmers and brushcutters. Over time the gasket can harden or compress, allowing unmetered air to be drawn in at the carburettor mounting face rather than through the intended air intake. This upsets the fuel-to-air mixture, often showing up as lean running, erratic idling or difficulty starting.
Replacing the gasket during a carburettor service restores an airtight joint and lets the carburettor meter fuel correctly again.
