Description
Guide bar 16" 3/8LP 1.3mm fits Stihl 023, MS230 and MS231 chainsaws. The guide bar is the steel rail around which the cutting chain runs, supported at the tip by the sprocket nose and driven at the heel by the drive sprocket. The 3/8LP pitch and 1.3mm (0.050") gauge must match the cutting chain and drive sprocket fitted to the saw fitting an incorrect bar risks chain derailment and damage to the drive system. A worn bar with grooved rails, a seized sprocket nose or bent body causes poor cutting performance, uneven chain wear and increased risk of chain throw.
