Description
Anti-vibration (AV) mount cover fits Stihl 017, 018, MS170 and MS180 chainsaws. The AV mount cover is a plastic cap that clips over the rubber AV mount on the handle frame, securing it in position and protecting the mounting cavity from sawdust, debris and moisture ingress. A cracked or missing cover allows the mount to shift under load and leaves the cavity exposed to contamination, accelerating wear at the contact surfaces. It should be replaced as part of any AV mount service to ensure the mounts remain correctly seated during operation.
