Description
Oil filter / strainer fits Oleo-Mac GSH400 and many other chainsaws. Sitting inside the oil tank, the oil filter catches debris and residue before the bar and chain oil is drawn into the oil pump, protecting the pump's internal plunger or rotor from grit that could cause premature wear. When the filter clogs with sludge or splits, oil delivery to the pump can drop off or debris can pass through unfiltered, leading to reduced oil flow to the guide bar or accelerated wear inside the oil pump itself. Fitting a replacement oil filter restores clean, unrestricted oil flow into the pump.
