Description

The Gasket Genius complete gasket set fits McCulloch CS35 and Husqvarna 120 (not Mark II) chainsaws, bundling 1x crankcase gasket, 1x cylinder gasket, 1x exhaust muffler gasket and 2x carburettor gasket. Each part does its own job: the crankcase and cylinder gaskets keep the crank chamber sealed so compression builds correctly, the muffler gasket stops exhaust escaping at the muffler joint, and the carburettor gaskets keep the air-fuel mixture contained on its way into the engine. Heat cycling over time causes these gaskets to harden and shrink, at which point they can't hold their seal anymore — symptoms range from rough or unstable idle and loss of power to exhaust leaking near the muffler, depending on which gasket has given out. Since all of these are typically opened up together during a service or engine rebuild, having the full set on hand saves sourcing each one separately.
