Description
Chain catcher fits Husqvarna 61, 268 and 272 chainsaws. The chain catcher is a hook-shaped guard mounted on the underside of the saw body, positioned between the rear handle and the guide bar. Its function is to intercept a derailed or broken chain and prevent it from whipping back towards the operator's hand in the event of chain throw or chain break. A missing or broken chain catcher is a safety hazard and the saw should not be used until it is replaced. Fitting a replacement restores the original chain retention safety feature.
