Description
The Gasket Genius carburettor gasket set fits Husqvarna 61, 266, 268 and 272 chainsaws. It seals the joint between the carburettor and the intake manifold, keeping the incoming air-fuel mixture contained within a sealed passage on its way to the cylinder. Once this gasket hardens, compresses or cracks, it can no longer hold a proper seal at the joint, allowing unmetered air to enter the intake tract. This upsets the air-fuel ratio and often shows up as a rough idle, hesitation under acceleration or hard starting. Replacing the gasket set whenever the carburettor is removed helps keep the intake joint properly sealed.
