Description
Oil drive pump (type 1) fits Husqvarna 362, 365, 371 and 372 chainsaws. The 362/365/371/372 series are professional-grade saws that use more than one oil pump variant across different production runs this is the type 1 pump, so confirm against your old part and the product images before ordering. The oil pump is driven off the crankshaft and delivers a continuous supply of bar and chain oil to the guide bar groove during operation. A dry guide bar, chain running without visible lubrication, or oil pooling beneath the saw from a cracked pump body are the typical signs of a failed pump. Left unaddressed, oil starvation causes accelerated wear on the drive links, bar rails and sprocket nose. Fitting a replacement restores full chain lubrication and protects the bar and chain from heat damage.
