Description
Bumper spike / felling dog fits Husqvarna 36, 41, 136, 137, 141 and 142 chainsaws. The bumper spike is a toothed metal plate mounted on the front of the saw body, between the front handle and the guide bar. It is used as a pivot point during felling and bucking the operator presses the spikes into the wood to create a fixed anchor point, allowing the saw to rotate around it for controlled, precise cuts with reduced kickback risk. A missing or damaged bumper spike removes this control point and makes accurate plunge cutting and felling more difficult and less safe. Fitting a replacement restores full use of the felling dog technique during operation.
