Description
The Gasket Genius complete gasket set fits Husqvarna 181, 281 and 288 chainsaws. This is a more comprehensive set than many others in the range — covering five gaskets across four sealing points, including two carburettor gaskets to account for both intake faces on these larger-displacement models. Each sealing point has a specific failure mode: the crankcase gasket allows air leaks when it deteriorates, the cylinder head gasket loses combustion pressure when it blows, the exhaust muffler gasket causes noise and power loss when it burns through, and worn carburettor gaskets upset the air-fuel mixture and lead to erratic running. Addressing all of these at once during a rebuild avoids the need to disassemble the engine a second time shortly after.
