Description
The Gasket Genius intake manifold gasket fits Honda BF5A outboard engines. The intake manifold gasket seals the joint between the intake manifold and the cylinder block/head, ensuring the air-fuel mixture drawn in by the engine travels through a sealed passage without leaking. A worn, hardened or damaged intake manifold gasket allows an air leak at the intake joint, letting unmetered air enter the intake tract. This leans out the air-fuel mixture and can cause symptoms such as rough or unstable idle, hesitation on acceleration or difficulty starting. It is good practice to replace the intake manifold gasket whenever the intake manifold is removed for servicing.
