Description
The Gasket Genius impeller gasket fits Honda BF15 HP outboard engines. The impeller gasket seals the water pump housing around the impeller, the rubber vane component that circulates cooling water through the engine. A deteriorated, compressed or damaged impeller gasket allows cooling water to bypass the pump chamber rather than being directed through the cooling system, reducing water pump efficiency and potentially causing the engine to run hot. It is good practice to replace the impeller gasket whenever the water pump is opened for servicing or impeller replacement.
