Description

The Gasket Genius air filter fits Hecht 547SXW and 746 engines, cultivators and lawnmowers. Sitting ahead of the carburettor in the intake path, the air filter traps soil, dust and plant debris — a particular concern on a cultivator, where the engine works close to disturbed ground — while allowing clean air through for combustion. As the filter media clogs with use, airflow to the carburettor is restricted, pulling the fuel-air mixture rich and leading to reduced power, rough running, higher fuel consumption or hard starting. Fitting a new air filter restores correct airflow to the carburettor, letting the engine draw the correct air-fuel ratio again.
