Description

The Gasket Genius air filter fits Hecht 543SW and 543SWE engines and lawnmowers. The air filter sits in the intake path ahead of the carburettor, trapping dust, grass clippings and other debris before they reach the engine, while letting clean air through for combustion. As the filter media becomes clogged with use, airflow to the carburettor is restricted, pulling the fuel-air mixture rich, which can cause reduced power, rough running, higher fuel consumption or hard starting. Fitting a new air filter restores correct airflow to the carburettor, allowing the engine to draw the correct air-fuel ratio again.
