Description

Oil drive pump fits 6200 Chinese chainsaws with 62cc engines, including Komatsu Zenoah and Timberpro. The 6200 (62cc) is the largest of the common Chinese chainsaw engine classes — the oil pump on this platform is a heavier-duty unit than those used on the smaller 4500/5200/5800 saws, reflecting the higher bar and chain loads at this engine displacement. The pump is driven off the crankshaft and delivers a continuous supply of bar and chain oil to the guide bar groove during cutting. A cracked, worn or seized pump body cuts off oil delivery entirely, causing rapid wear on the bar rails, drive links and sprocket nose under the increased friction of a dry guide bar. Fitting a replacement restores full chain lubrication and protects the bar and chain from heat damage.
