Description
The Gasket Genius carburettor gasket set is made for 4500 (45cc), 5200 (52cc) and 5800 (58cc) Chinese chainsaws — including Plantiflex, BBT, B&Q, Silverline, Sanli, Whitemoss, Skatco, Eckman, Timbertech, Tarus and MT-9999 models. It seals the joint between the carburettor and intake manifold, keeping the incoming air-fuel mixture contained as it travels toward the cylinder rather than mixing with unmetered outside air. Over time this gasket hardens, compresses or cracks, and once it can no longer seal that joint properly, unmetered air starts leaking into the intake tract. The result is usually a rough or unstable idle, hesitation on acceleration, or the engine becoming harder to start. Whenever the carburettor comes off for cleaning or servicing, fitting a fresh gasket keeps that joint sealed correctly.
