Description
Chain catcher fits 4500, 5200 and 5800 Chinese chainsaws with 45cc, 52cc and 58cc engines, including Plantiflex, BBT, B&Q, Silverline, Sanli, Whitemoss, Skatco, Eckman, Timbertech, Tarus, Viron, MT and Trueshopping Raptor. The chain catcher is a hook-shaped guard mounted on the underside of the saw body, between the rear handle and the guide bar. Its function is to intercept a derailed or broken chain and prevent it from whipping back towards the operator's hand in the event of chain throw or chain break. A missing or broken chain catcher is a safety hazard and the saw should not be returned to use until it is replaced. Fitting a replacement restores the original chain retention safety feature.
