The loop handle is a D-shaped grip that clamps to the aluminium drive shaft at the mid-point, providing the operator's front hand with directional control during cutting. Unlike the bull horn handle bar, the loop handle is a single-sided grip used primarily on lighter domestic and semi-professional machines. A cracked or broken loop handle removes safe front-hand control of the machine during operation.
