Recoil starter spring fits many strimmers, hedge trimmers, brushcutters and chainsaws. The recoil starter spring is the flat coiled return spring that stores tension when the pull cord is drawn out and retracts the cord automatically after each pull. When the spring is fatigued, kinked or broken, the cord will no longer retract and the machine cannot be started. Keeping a spare spring on hand means repairs can be carried out quickly and without delay.
