Recoil starter rope guide fits many strimmers, hedge trimmers, brushcutters and chainsaws. The rope guide is the small eyelet or bushing fitted to the starter housing through which the pull cord passes, protecting the cord from wear and ensuring it exits and returns in a straight and consistent path. When the guide is cracked, worn or missing, the cord can fray against the housing edge and snap prematurely. Replacing a damaged rope guide helps extend the life of the pull cord and maintains smooth starter operation.
