STIHL MS261 Chainsaw Gasket Set

The Gasket Genius gasket set fits Stihl MS261 chainsaws and includes 1x crankcase gasket, 1x cylinder gasket and 1x exhaust muffler gasket. The crankcase and cylinder gaskets keep the crank chamber sealed so the two-stroke engine can build proper compression, while the muffler gasket contains exhaust gases at the joint where the muffler bolts to the engine. As these gaskets age, harden or compress, they lose their seal — a failing crankcase or cylinder gasket typically causes an air leak and shows up as rough or unstable idle or loss of power, while a worn muffler gasket allows exhaust to leak at the joint. Fitting a new set whenever these components are separated for servicing restores a proper seal.
