STIHL 070 090 090AV Complete Recoil Starter

Complete recoil starter fits Stihl 070, 090 and 090AV chainsaws. The recoil starter is a self-contained pull-start assembly comprising the starter housing, cord pulley, recoil spring, pull cord and handle, mounted directly to the engine casing. When the pull cord is drawn out, the pawls engage the flywheel to crank the engine, and the internal return spring retracts the cord automatically after each pull. When the recoil mechanism fails due to a broken spring, seized pulley, snapped cord or cracked housing, swapping in a complete starter unit is the most efficient way to restore reliable engine starting without the need to source and replace individual internal components.

Installing a replacement complete recoil starter restores full starting function and gets the chainsaw back in service quickly.
