Anti-vibration (AV) mount fits Stihl 021, 023, 025, 029, 039, MS210, MS230 and MS250 chainsaws. A second mount variant used on these models replaces a degraded rubber mount that allows engine vibration to bypass the AV system at this fixing point.

Anti-vibration (AV) mount fits Stihl 021, 023, 025, 029, 039, MS210, MS230 and MS250 chainsaws. These saws use multiple AV mounts of different profiles at separate fixing points between the engine unit and the handle frame this is a second mount variant used on the same models, distinct in shape from the other AV mount in this range. Confirm against your old part before ordering. The rubber compound in these mounts degrades gradually through heat cycling and oil contamination, eventually losing its ability to absorb the vibration generated by the two-stroke engine and cutting chain. A collapsed or cracked mount allows vibration to pass directly through the chassis at that fixing point. Fitting a replacement restores correct isolation and even damping across the AV system.
