KAWASAKI TD40 TD48 Complete Gasket Set

The Gasket Genius complete gasket set fits Kawasaki TD40 and TD48 strimmers, with one crankcase gasket, two cylinder gaskets, one exhaust muffler gasket and two carburettor gaskets included. The crankcase gasket keeps the crank chamber airtight so the engine can draw in and compress the fuel-air mixture; the cylinder gaskets hold combustion pressure at the cylinder-to-crankcase joint; the muffler gasket contains exhaust gases and backpressure; and the carburettor gaskets keep intake air routed only through the carburettor’s metering circuits. All of these are typically renewed together during a rebuild, since a worn gasket at any single point can mean hard starting, weak compression, an exhaust leak or a hunting idle.
