The Gasket Genius cylinder gasket fits Husqvarna 61, 266, 268 and 272 chainsaws. The cylinder gasket is the sealing element fitted between the cylinder barrel and the crankcase, maintaining the compression seal at the base of the cylinder. When the gasket is burned out, compressed or cracked, combustion gases and crankcase pressure escape at the cylinder base joint, resulting in loss of compression, reduced power output and difficult starting. Replacing a failed cylinder gasket restores the correct compression seal and reliable engine performance.
