HUSQVARNA 340 345 346XP 350 353 357 359 455 460 Anti-Vibration (AV) Mount

Anti-vibration (AV) mount fits Husqvarna 340, 345, 346XP, 350, 353, 357, 359, 455 and 460 chainsaws. The AV mount is a rubber buffer bonded between metal sleeves, bolted at one of the connection points between the engine unit and the handle frame. Its job is to act as a mechanical break in the vibration path absorbing the cyclical forces produced by the two-stroke engine and cutting chain before they can travel through the chassis to the operator’s hands. Rubber AV mounts degrade gradually through heat cycling, oil contamination and mechanical fatigue. The first sign of wear is usually a subtle increase in handle vibration; left unchecked, a fully collapsed mount makes direct metal-to-metal contact possible at that fixing point, significantly worsening both comfort and long-term hand-arm vibration exposure. Swapping in a new mount at the first sign of deterioration is the simplest way to keep the saw within safe vibration levels.
