HONDA GX35 UMK435 Cam Pulley Sprocket

Cam pulley sprocket fits Honda GX35 engines and UMK435 strimmers/brushcutters. The cam pulley sprocket is the toothed wheel mounted on the camshaft, driven by the timing belt to rotate the camshaft in fixed sync with the crankshaft, which keeps valve timing correct relative to piston position. When the sprocket’s teeth wear, become chipped, or the hub cracks, the belt can skip teeth or slip, throwing off valve timing and causing poor running, hard starting, misfiring, or in severe cases valve-to-piston contact. Fitting a replacement cam pulley sprocket restores proper engagement with the timing belt, allowing correct valve timing to be maintained.
