Anti-vibration (AV) spring no. 1 fits 3800 chainsaws with 38cc engines Komatsu Zenoah, Sumo, B&Q, Draper, Sovereign, Powerplus, Sanli, Woodfield and Trueshopping. Unlike the rubber AV mount used on the same saws, the AV spring is a metal coil spring seated at one of the fixing points between the power head and the handle frame. The 3800 uses more than one spring profile across its mounting points this is the no. 1 variant, so confirm against your old part before ordering. A broken or fatigued spring leaves that fixing point rigid, increasing handle vibration and shifting load onto the remaining mounts. Fitting a replacement restores correct isolation at this position.
