Description

Oil pump screen fits Husqvarna 435, 435E, 440, 440E, 445, 445E, 450 and 450E chainsaws. Replaces part number 544083301. The oil pump screen is a fine mesh filter located at the oil pump inlet inside the oil tank, preventing sawdust, debris and degraded oil residue from entering the pump body and blocking the oil delivery circuit. A clogged or damaged screen restricts oil flow to the guide bar, causing partial or complete chain lubrication failure even when the tank is full and the pump is otherwise functional. The screen should be inspected and cleaned as part of routine maintenance and replaced if torn, collapsed or heavily fouled. Fitting a new screen protects the oil pump from contamination-related wear and ensures consistent bar and chain oiling.
