Flywheel fits Husqvarna 137 and 142 chainsaws, replacing part number 530059637. The flywheel is keyed directly to the crankshaft and serves two functions — it stores rotational energy to smooth out engine power delivery between combustion strokes, and its outer rim carries the magnets that pass the ignition coil to generate the spark timing signal. A cracked, damaged or incorrectly timed flywheel — often caused by a shear key failure after a hard impact — results in poor or no ignition spark, difficult starting or complete failure to run. Replacing it with a correctly specified unit restores both proper engine timing and reliable ignition function.
