Description
Small anti-vibration (AV) mount fits Stihl 024, 026, 038, MS240, MS380 and MS381 chainsaws. Replaces part number 1121 790 9912. These are mid-range to professional Stihl models that use multiple rubber AV mounts of different sizes at separate fixing points between the engine unit and the handle frame. The small mount operates at one of the secondary connection points in the system. When the rubber hardens, cracks or collapses under heat and oil exposure, vibration from the two-stroke engine and cutting chain passes through that fixing point unchecked, increasing load on the remaining mounts and raising handle vibration noticeably during prolonged use. Fitting a replacement restores correct isolation at this mounting position.
