Description
Chain catcher fits Husqvarna 36, 41, 136, 137, 141, 142, 235 and 240 chainsaws. The chain catcher is a plastic or metal hook-shaped guard mounted on the underside of the saw body, between the rear handle and the guide bar. Its function is to intercept and arrest a derailed or broken chain, preventing it from whipping back towards the operator's hand in the event of chain throw or chain break. A missing or broken chain catcher removes this critical layer of protection and is a safety hazard during operation. Fitting a replacement restores the original chain retention safety feature and is required before returning the saw to use.
