Description
The Gasket Genius fuel pump repair kit is designed for Yamaha 75 HP - 225 HP outboard engines and includes the diaphragm and gasket components used inside the fuel pump. These parts work together to draw fuel from the tank and deliver it to the carburettor at the correct pressure, with the diaphragm flexing on each pulse and the gasket sealing the pump housing sections together. Once the diaphragm becomes stiff, cracked or perforated, or the gasket hardens and no longer seals, the fuel pump can lose pressure or draw in air, which often shows up as inconsistent fuel delivery, stalling or difficulty starting. Rebuilding the pump with this kit whenever it's opened for servicing restores a properly sealed, functioning fuel pump.
