Description
The Gasket Genius muffler plate gasket fits Honda BF15 HP and BF20 HP outboard engines. The muffler plate gasket is positioned between the exhaust muffler plate and the engine body, forming the seal that keeps exhaust gases contained within the exhaust system. Over time, heat cycling causes the gasket material to harden and crack — once it fails, exhaust gases escape at the joint, increasing noise and reducing exhaust back pressure in a way that can affect engine performance. Fitting a new gasket whenever the muffler plate is disturbed during service ensures the joint is properly sealed on reassembly.
