Complete crankcase fits Hecht 947, Makita DCS460, DCS461, DCS500, DCS501, DCS4600, DCS5000, DCS5121, DE5045 and Dolmar PS-460, PS-500, PS-4600, PS-5000 chainsaws. Supplied complete with bearings, bolts and a new crankcase gasket, so all hardware needed for a full rebuild is included in one purchase. The crankcase is the structural housing of the engine, enclosing the crankshaft, bearings and oil seals, and forming the pressure-sealed environment the two-stroke engine relies on for correct crankcase compression. A cracked or damaged crankcase results in air leaks at the casing that destroy the crankcase compression differential the engine needs to draw fuel into the cylinder — the engine will run poorly or not at all.
