The <strong>flywheel<\/strong> is mounted on the <strong>crankshaft<\/strong> taper of the <strong>GX35<\/strong> four-stroke engine, where its embedded <strong>ignition magnets<\/strong> pass the <strong>ignition coil<\/strong> on each revolution to generate the <strong>spark<\/strong> timing signal. Unlike two-stroke flywheels, the <strong>GX35 flywheel<\/strong> also drives the <strong>recoil starter<\/strong> engagement mechanism and contributes to smooth power delivery across the engine's operating range. A cracked or damaged <strong>flywheel<\/strong>, or one displaced from the taper, disrupts <strong>ignition timing<\/strong> and results in hard starting or a complete no-spark condition.
