The Gasket Genius complete gasket set is built for Stihl 046 and MS460 chainsaws, resealing the crankcase, cylinder and exhaust muffler. The crankcase and cylinder gaskets keep the crank chamber airtight so the engine can build proper compression, while the muffler gasket stops exhaust from escaping at its joint. With age these gaskets harden and compress, and once that seal fails you’ll typically notice rough idle, loss of power, or exhaust leaking near the muffler — the exact symptom depends on which one gives out. Since a service or rebuild usually means opening all three areas anyway, this set covers them together.
