Anti-vibration (AV) spring set fits McCulloch and Partner chainsaws, including McCulloch Mac Cat 335, 338, 420, 435, 438, 440, 442 and Partner 350, 351, 370, 371, 390 and 420. The set contains the full complement of AV springs used across the mounting points between the power head and the handle frame. Buying a complete set allows all springs to be replaced in one service, which is the recommended approach springs on the same saw age at a similar rate, so replacing only one failed spring often leaves others close to failure. When any spring breaks or loses tension, that fixing point becomes rigid and transmits vibration directly to the operator’s hands. Replacing the full set restores even vibration damping across all mounting points and returns the saw to correct AV system performance.
